Today Ryan took the day off of work and all of us (including my mom) went on a field trip to Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. We had lots of fun! It's so interesting to see how that particular community lived and functioned so long ago. They were incredibly industrious and very community oriented.
Rachael's favorite part, of course, was the farm animals. We saw horses, cows, sheep, and goats. She thought feeding grass to the goats was fun, until she bent down to pick more grass and the goat mistook her hair ribbons for food. He took a bite and managed to pull out a few hairs. We kept our distance after that.
