... Necco wafers.

When I was a kid we made a gingerbread house almost every year. And we almost always used Necco wafers for the roof. In recent years when I made gingerbread houses - and if it's a house - I usually use Frosted Mini Wheats. Partly because I like the frosted, thatched roof look; and partly because I could never find any Neccos.

I found them at Meijer this year! Hooray! Long live the Necco wafer roof. I can't wait to finish it.
