Not to long after we got out of school I decided I wanted a set of Christmas dishes. Many members of my family (although I should point out right off the top, NOT my dear husband) scoffed at me for wanting dishes that you only use for a couple of weeks ever year. I ignored them and bought myself a set. I pull them out almost every year for Thanksgiving and we use them until I put away the Christmas decorations in January. I know they are totally frivolous, but they make me happy. Maybe because they are frivolous.I've noticed over the years that other family members have bought Christmas dishes, too... maybe I'm not completely crazy.
