This year our Priesthood and Relief Society lessons are from our new Teachings of Joseph Smith book. Today's lesson was on the Book of Mormon; specifically, how Joseph recieved the plates from Moroni. When he was first shown the plates, he learned it would be four years before he would be able to receive them. It's like earning his college degree, I guess. The preparation probably had some similarities.
I'm grateful he was able to restore the gospel to the earth, and that he was a strong enough person to withstand all the criticism and persecution that followed.
